On Tuesday, May 13, 2014, The Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) will host the 7th Annual Spring Ball at The Starlight Roof at The Waldorf=Astoria.

The Society’s most important event of the year, this high-spirited and glamorous evening will feature cocktails, dinner, dancing, and a special performance by Late Night host and former Saturday Night Live cast member, Seth Meyers. More than 400 high-profile guests are expected to attend the evening in support of The Society’s patient care, research, and education programs at MSK. The 7th Annual Spring Ball is Co-Chaired by Nina Garcia Conrod, Lisa McCarthy, Alexi Ashe Meyers, Claudia Overstrom, and Maria Villalba, and is generously sponsored by GRAFF Diamonds with additional support from Valentino.

“The Society is excited to continue our annual Spring Ball tradition and we are extremely proud of how much it has grown since it’s inauguration,” said Martha Glass, President of The Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering, “The evening exudes the passion and energy of The Society‘s dedicated board and supporters, and we are grateful for GRAFF and Valentino’s support in helping to make the event a success, especially for our Social Services Committee.”

For the first time the Spring Ball will be held at the historic Starlight Roof at The Waldorf=Astoria in New York. After cocktails and dinner under the stars, Late Night host Seth Meyers will entertain the crowd with a one-off stand-up performance followed by dancing into the late hours of the night to music by DJ Mad Marj.

Sotheby’s Auctioneer and MSK Board Member Jamie Niven will lead a pledge to raise critical funding for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s Social Services Committee, the oldest volunteer group at the hospital, which helps to provide patients and their families extra financial support for emergency expenses as well as counseling and support services for adults and children. Since the inaugural Spring Ball in 2008, the event has helped raise more than $10 million for The Society’s leading patient care, education, and research programs.

“GRAFF Diamonds is proud to support The Society of MSK and to help raise funds for patients and their families who are receiving treatment at MSKCC,” Henri Barguirdjian, President & CEO of GRAFF Holdings.  “We continue to be so impressed with the innovative research and remarkable patient care at the Center.”
