Last week, Crocs celebrated the grand opening of their brand spankin’ new flagship store on 34th Street in Herald Square.
Despite the rain, Vanessa Lachey showed up in her summer whites to kick off the morning at the ribbon cutting ceremony, along with Crocs executives Dan Hart, Chief Legal and Administrative Officer; Dale Bathum, Chief Product Officer; Greg Sullivan, General Manager of the Americas Region; and Mario Caruso, 34th Street Store Manager.
After the ribbon cutting, everyone gathered inside to nosh on a giant Crocs cake from Carlo’s Bakery, home of TLC’s Cake Boss.
The new flagship store boasts two floors packed with merchandise. The first floor features new styles for both men and women. The new flagship is in New York, so obviously there were Crocs emblazened with the signature “I Heart NY” logo, as well as NY specific sports teams like the Mets and Yankees.
In addition to their original Crocs, they have a slew of ballet flats, flip flops, and jellies, in addition to comfortable wedges. With a cushioned sole, these wedges will be the most comfortable heels you’ll be wearing all summer long. We also love their new collection of boat shoes in bright, fun colors! These preppy styles are indeed perfect to take out on your boat without fear of ruining your shoes with water.
The second floor was all for the kids. In the center of the floor was the giant “jibbitz” dispenser. If you haven’t brushed up on your Crocs lingo, jibbitz are those little charms that you stick in the holes of your Crocs. From a multitide of colors and characters to glitter and light-ups and even fun backpacks, it is any child’s shoe haven.
