cityMANI operates with a staff of 20+, all of whom are trained to levels of undeniable expertise by editorial manicurist, Gerry Holford. Holford made a name for herself in the cosmetic industry during New York Fashion Week as she painted nails for designers such as Tommy Hilfiger, Donna Karan, Proenza Schouler and Thakoon. She currently works on commercial and campaign work to create custom nail colors for brands like Banana Republic, Nicholas K and Steven Alan. A born and raised Manhattanite, Cari is a full-time working mom who needs her manicures as much as her morning coffee. When she realized that she wasn’t the only one being deprived of her favorite pastime because there were not enough hours in the day, she was determined to find a solution. For the last 10 years Cari has found her niche in sales, event marketing and corporate event planning while working with hundreds of companies like Viacom, AOL, Mashable, Morgan Stanley and Tiffany & Co. She has also found her passion in fundraising and has helped her large portfolio of non-profit organizations such as The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the National MS Society, AIDS Walk and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital raise hundreds of thousands of dollars. In the spare time she manages to find, Cari is also a publisher for Macaroni Kid Lower Manhattan. A manicure fanatic and NYC native, Erika is on a mission to make it easier for time starved women to look and feel more polished. Since graduating NYU with degrees in Economics and Marketing, she has been immersed in the events and hospitality industry and surrounded by highly ambitious women like herself, which has made one thing clear: she wasn’t the only one constantly facing a manicure emergency. Erika has spent years fine tuning her expertise in event production, branding and strategic partnerships through events and collaborations with brands like Maserati, Ivanka Trump Boutique, Seamless, Uber, Hudson Terrace, South Street Seaport and organizations such as Susan G. Komen for the Cure, TOMS Shoes One for One, New York Cares and Friends of Rockaway. Combining her skill set with her love of community and passion for brightening the lives of others, Erika co-founded cityMANI. Her goal is to create an environment and a community that demonstrates and promotes the significance of being a driven, focused and socially conscience woman while maintaining a polished look.
