Thompson Hotels’ Gild Hall hosted a cocktail event to introduce the new cocktail collection by Eric Prum and Josh Williams, co-founders of W&P Design. The new partnership will revamp in-room beverage selection by offering W&P Design’s Carry On Cocktail Kit paired with Boylan Heritage Tonic. In all of the suites, there will also be all of the bar amenities you would need to make a proper cocktail.
W&P Design’s book, Shake, gives easy recipes that can be made with the company’s bespoke barware and accessories. Within the suites, a shaker and pitcher for drinks shaken and stirred are both available, a jigger for liquor measuring, strainer and a muddler to boot. There are also fancy champagne saucer glasses to serve the fancy cocktails in, a cocktail rimmer and festive straws. The event showcased cocktails that can be made with the tonic, like the Spiced Orange Bourbon Tonic, the Rosemary Lemon G&T, and the one the kit is meant for, The Old Fashioned.
The carry on cocktail kit can also be taken on the go since it is intended to give you everything you need to make a more than satisfactory cocktail up in the air. You can rest assured that everything is compliant with TSA regulations. The Old Fashioned is the first flavor combination, but other varieties will be introduced in the coming year.
Although the website has sold out of over 10,000 kits, retailers like Nordstrom, Anthropologie and Sur La Table just might have some on hand as a last minute stocking stuffer for those constant travelers on your holiday gift list.
This partnership is just the start for elevating the boutique hotel stay that Thompson Hotels is known for and we can’t wait to see what they come up with next.
