“Eat, Drink, and Play” are the key elements of a great social gathering, and being a food business, we hope to emphasize the eating at our concert! Food and snacks will be available for about $1-$4 in a nightmarket format by 6 popular casual eateries hand-picked by us. We realize how important good food is, and hope our guests will enjoy this all-star food lineup.
Xi’an Famous Foods began as a 200 square foot basement stall in the Golden Shopping Mall in Flushing, N.Y. The original location, established in late 2005, was the first restaurant to bring the little-known cuisine of Xi’an to the United States, with signature hand-ripped noodles, secret spice mixes, and Xi’an “burgers” with housemade flatbread. Since then, we’ve expanded to a total of 10 locations all around New York City. We reintroduce the world to the unique cuisine of our hometown all in its most authentic form, made Xi’an foods famous, by appealing to eaters of all backgrounds.
Beyond the world of food, Xi’an Famous Foods also hopes to make a cultural and social impact in the Asian/Asian-American community. With LNYF, Xi’an Famous Foods hopes to begin a new chapter of introducing Chinese pop culture alongside Asian-American pop culture, along with food from the most popular casual eateries in New York City, to create a social mingling that will be enjoyed by people of all backgrounds. With this fun and celebratory event, we do hope to bring awareness to the social issues that face Asian American youth by supporting an important organization for battling these issues, Apex for Youth, with proceeds from this event.
Apex for Youth delivers possibilities to underserved Asian and immigrant youth from low-income families in NYC.
