Simply Stylist held a networking conference in Los Angeles where attendees have the opportunity to connect with potential employers, influencers and brands in a conversational setting, allowing individuals to learn more about the respective industries and have questions and comments addressed.
The event was presented by CITI and The Grove, and notable VIPs included Alessandra Ambrosio, Catt Sadler, Cara Santana, Stassi Schroeder, Wendy’s Lookbook, Michael Costello, Jenny Bernheim, and many more.
Some of the brands include: Rodial Skincare, eSalon, Nation Ltd., DWNLD, Simple Human, DVF, Vinted, Time Out NY (receive your own fashion illustration), Prova Pizza, Ale by Alessandra (Alessandra Ambrosio’s collection), complimentary hair/makeup/mani’s from The Glam App & Sooth and more. We’ll have cocktails by VeeV flowing and a number of Breakout Sessions taking place including Blogging 101 taught by Margo & Me’s Jenny Bernheim, Social Media taught by Calli Cholodenko of Something Social and Building an Empire taught by Jon Reyman founder of Spoke & Weal salon.
With conferences in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles, Simply Stylist provides tools and tips from a panel of industry experts, bloggers, stylists and celebrities to those interested in fashion and beauty. The industry can be tough to break in to, so attendees can count on Simply Stylist to bring together a kind and supportive community of inspiring, like-minded entrepreneurs. Each event concludes with the Brand Experience where attendees can get pampered, sip on a cocktail and engage with new brands. They can also attend various breakout sessions taught by industry experts discussing important topics within the fashion and beauty industry such as blogging, social media and more.

A Q& A session was held with Alessandra in regards to her new Ale by Alessandra line:
What made you want to start designing swimwear?
I have always loved spending my free time by the beach so it was natural for me to create my ale by Alessandra collection as I know how important is to have comfortable, chic and functional swimwear when you are hanging out by the water.
What inspired your swimwear collection?
The collection is inspired by my Brazil-Bohemia meets Malibu-Chic lifestyle and has many feminine, colorful and effortless pieces. I was very particular on fabrics for the collection. I incorporated many jewelry inspired trims, feathers, embroidery, pure silks and a lot of prints which were all inspired by my travels. In addition to my swimwear collection my ale by Alessandra brand also has clothing available exclusively at Planet Blue as well as hats, bags and there are few other categories that will be coming out soon.
What was your last clothing or accessory purchase?
I just purchased couple new pieces from my ale by Alessandra clothing collection that is exclusively available at Planet Blue as well as a bag from YSL and some boots from Isabel Marant.
We love your off-duty style. What’s your inspiration when picking out an outfit in the morning?
Honestly it all depends on my mood and what I need to do for the day.
What’s your earliest fashion memory?
I have loved designing and fashion ever since I was small. I remember making clothes for my dolls.
What’s your diet and exercise regime like when you’re preparing for bikini season?
There isn’t really anything special I do before bikini season as I try to live very balanced life all year long. I make sure that I am eating right, exercising and laughing a lot.

There are so many that I couldn’t single one out but any vacation that I get to spend with my kids and family is always great.
What cities are on your bucket list that you haven’t already visited?
Wow that is a tough one. I would like to visit India as I hear it is a beautiful country.
When you’re home in LA, where do you like to eat and shop?
I like to go to the Brentwood market, as it has everything that I need in one place.
