Earlier this week, Thrillist held their first-ever Thrillist Hall of Fame, celebrating the best of the best food and drink establishments in NYC. Over 200 guests gathered at at The Park to hear the announcement of who would receive the newly minted awards.
While waiting in anticipation for the announcement, guests enjoyed delicious creations by Thrillist’s Recipes Editors. There were a lot of creative recipes, including Breakfast Lasagna, Pepper Spray Wings, Pancakes & Sausage On a Stick, Deviled Egg Rolls and Elvis Grilled Cheese. My personal favorite of the night were the SpaghettiOs Pizza, where tiny rings of Os would splatter across my plate.
To wash down all of the deliciously creative food, the evening was sponsored by Coors Banquet and also featured Deep Eddy Vodka cocktails: the Lemon Splash, Austin Mule, and Thrillist Greyhound. The Union Wine Company wine paired great with the huge slab of Champignon cheese we indulged in.
Along with the food festivities, guests enjoyed music by DJ Kasey Berry and roaming saxophonist Richie Cannata (best known for playing the sax with Billy Joel). Despite never having met until 30 minutes before the event, the saxophonist played off of the beats by the DJ quite seamlessly!
Notable attendees included Food Network Star Justin Warner, April Bloomfield from the James Beard Award-winning chef of The Spotted Pig, and former Top Chef contestant and Chef of Seoul Chicken Chaz Brown. After the announcement, the winners received a warm round of congratulations and were immortalized with their plaques to take home and brag over.
Now the moment you’ve all been waiting for! The first ever Thrillist Hall of Fame inductees include the following 11 fantastic establishments:
- Eleven Madison Park
- Gramercy Tavern
- Grand Central Oyster Bar
- Katz’s Delicatessen
- Momofuku Noodle Bar
- Russ & Daughters
- Shake Shack
- The Spotted Pig
Congratulations to all of the nominees and winners!
