The Upper East Side just got a little bit sweeter. Treat House celebrated the opening of their second NYC location this week. We popped by to try some of these deliciously decorated squares with Treat House Executive Chef Wendy Israel.
As soon as you enter the shop, you are astounded by the long display cases filled with tons of colorful, bright Treat House treats. So perfectly cut and delicately decorated! There are a ton of flavors: PB&J, Rocky Road, chocolate peanut butter, cookies and cream, strawberry daiquiri, birthday cake, coconut snowball, chocolate pretzel, s’mores, caramel sea salt… and the list goes on and on, especially when you factor in their limited edition flavors that the conjure up from time to time.
While the Upper West Side location is still their flagship location, the Upper East Side store has a new feature: a space for you to customize your own treats! After you’ve gained inspiration, pick up a box of “naked” treats, pick your own toppings, and then take them to the table in the back to decorate them yourself!
Slather on the vanilla or chocolate frostings (or both, go crazy), and then admire your creation or wolf it down right away. Book a reservation in advance for a fun and tasty interactive party!
If you don’t want horribly decorate (but still delicious) treats like mine turned out, Treat House also does custom orders where you can create your own design and even add a logo – perfect for company parties! And of course these would make excellent gifts for any celebration, from birthdays to bridal showers, and they are fantastic to share.
