La Nuit En Rosé Winter Garden Party (1)

The La Nuit en Rosé Winter Garden Party at the spectacular ArtBeam Gallery was the first festival {Est: 2014} dedicated to the beauty and opulence that is Rosé wine. I got a sneak peek last week, and what I can say is it was just as extravagant as the 2015 event which featured 165 rose wine labels from 60+ wine companies in 10 different countries.

Reading this post too late? No Big Deal! There’s a New York Summer Edition of La Nuit en Rosé June 9-11, 2016 and a brand new event, “Pinknic” in New York on July 9, 2016.

Here’s what you missed and why you should check out another 2016 event!

Chateau D’Esclans: Many Rosés are made for patio drinking. What does that mean? Simply sitting out back on a warm day and being refreshed by a cool drink. The wines from Chateau D’Esclans will run you a bit more than other Rosés but it is worth the splurge. These can be enjoyed with your meal, a family affair or on the patio when you are looking to sip on a world class wine.

Triennes: 100% Cinsault. Nothing less. That is what you will taste when you stop by the booth and have Triennes Rosé 2015. It’s a dry Rosé but not stringent because of the minerals that embody the wine after being grown on limestone. The dryness is also masked due to the beautiful fruity nose that carry through.

Les Vignobles De Berne: No sulfites to be found in these wines. The wines you’re tasting from this vineyard made their way to your glass because a Texas family fell in love with the region/wine and decided to sell in US as Chateau De Berne Impatience 2015. We know Texans do things big and this Rosé has BIG flavor.

Vranken Pommery: Domaine de Jarras Pink Flamingo Rose 2015 is named after the Flamingos that frequent Reims. Based off of the name you’d think you are drinking a South Florida vino but nope, it’s straight from a family-owned vineyard in France (4,000 hectors to be exact.)

Barton & Guestier Patriarche USA: Sparkle, Sparkle and oh… SPARKLE. The Veuve du Vernay Rosé NV is not your average, run of the mill sparkling wine. The region in which it comes from is one of the top producers of sparkling wine and you’ll see why after your first tasting (and second + third when you go back for more!)

Maison Marcel: How sweet it is to be sipping Maison Marcel Black Moscato 2015. Using a special Black Muscat, this incredible Rosé has a sweetness and fruitiness that carries through the whole tasting. There is a story behind the wine as well. A man, who loved his wife very much, knew that she was not a fan of the dry Rosés coming from other areas of the world. He decided to do something about it and create a Rosé that would please her palette. And now it is pleasing ours!

Maison Cubi Wines:  Praise Rosé! The wines you taste at this booth come from Domaine de la Castille, located on the Cote D’azure, which as of 1983, was reopened as a seminary that trains future priests in addition to its other wine endeavors.

BLT Prime: A restaurant within ESQUARED Hospitality, BLT Prime  showcases contemporary steakhouse fare with inspiring ingredients and modern accents. Packed with flavor and quality meats.
