To kick off the holiday season, Thrillist hosted a cozy holiday pop-up event this past weekend in the Meatpacking District, complete with treats, drinks, and festive fun.
The pop-up actually consisted of four separate sessions with different vendors and activities to keep things interesting all weekend long!
The Friday afternoon session had New England Clam Chowder in sourdough bread bowls from Union Bar Kitchen to warm up guests, followed up Insomnia Cookies for dessert. On Saturday afternoon, Fresh Salt served drool-worthy chili-topped mac & cheese, and Whitmans had their super-indulgent PB & Bacon Burger.
The Saturday night session was for VIP guests only. Special treatment included a custom Thrillist-inspired Thai Ice Cream Pie Sundae with black rice pudding and mango mousse from Ice & Vice. Not to be outdone, Sugar Factory had custom couture cake pops dipped in ganache.
On Sunday, Belle Reve served bacon-y mac & cheese while Sticky’s Finger Joint had Thai Fiesta Chicken Fingers, with shaved ice dessert from Snowdays.
Speaking of shaved, guests were also treated to hot shaves and haircuts in the barber shop corner.
For those waiting for their friends, there was a live DJ spinning music, a holiday photo booth, and comfy living room seating for lounging, while sipping on boozy cocktails and Coors Banquet.
A great way to relax and unwind before the real frenzy of the holidays begins!
Yours,
Von
