Harvey at the Williamsburg Hotel is one of Brooklyn’s best-kept secrets. Once you cascade down the spiral staircase of the hotel, you’ve entered a cozy and welcoming bar and restaurant, which is where Brooklyn High Tea service is hosted every Friday through Sunday from 12-5pm. When we went Saturday afternoon we were even treated to live music!
Guests, are treated to pastries from Brooklyn Bread Lab, a fine tea selection by Stefen Ramirez of Tea Dealers, and gorgeous teaware from Australian brand, T2. The service is so popular that the intention was for each group to have their own teakettle but now with over 200 tea drinkers served in a day, the staff serves your desired tea tableside!
Unlike other tea service within the NYC area, you receive one piece each of every savory and sweet bite on the menu. This includes mini almond pies, mini scone with clotted cream and jam, cream cheese carrot muffins, fresh fruit tarts, pistachio bars, spicy salami and bk ricotta pizzettes, smoked salmon, cucumber and labne sandwiches, and avocado toasts. Should this seem like too much food, you can also purchase items per piece. What’s great about the menu is that it’s extremely accessible for vegetarians and the staff can accommodate substitutions based on food allergies.
Tea service is a very affordable $30 per person with an additional fee of $15 if you want to make the day boozy with champagne. For more information and to book a coveted reservation to experience High Tea at Harvey for yourself and to feel more accomplished than just brunch, visit here!
