On Saturday, February 2, 2019, hundreds of well-heeled and dressed to the nines patrons of the arts came together for the annual Boston Ballet Ball at The Castle at Park Plaza.
This year’s black tie event celebrating world- renowned ballet choreographer William Forsythe and featured stunning live dance performances with his modern, yet classic approach to dance.
Fundraisers rubbed elbows with principal dancers and ballerinas while enjoying a sumptuous three-course meal provided by Max Ultimate Food as the mistress of ceremonies and Bloomberg anchor/report Janet Wu got the evening’s program started.
There was a plethora of both silent and live auction items and experiences, with many tables of Tiffany & Co. blue boxes with baubles to bat eyelashes at. The efforts of live and paddle auctioneer Robbie Gordy helped raise over 1.2 million alone during the auction for funding the Boston Ballet’s ongoing programming and philanthropic efforts around the greater Boston community, like neighborhood-based dance education and partnerships across the city.
For those who love to see and be seen for a great cause, this is definitely one charity and social event not to be missed. Just make sure you wear your fiercest black tie look.
Happy Dancing,
Jenicka
