More stressful than planning a wedding is dieting for a wedding. Last week we were invited to check out a Bridal Bootcamp fitness class hosted by Sophisticated Weddings, the luxury event planning magazine.
Before the workout, guests were treated to healthy juices and facials, courtesy of the EQX Body Lab (Equinox Spa). There was a station to take pre-sweaty photos at the Shake+Share photo booth and try on sparkly diamonds at the”diamond ring selfie station” hosted by William Barthman Jewelers.
The kickboxing class was an action-packed, music-pumping 45-minute session of jabbing and crossing, uppercuts, lunges, kicks, and tons of cardio. Not sure why I thought the Equinox instructors would take it easy on us, but they sure did not! They were energetic and lively, and we were motivated with music by Nicholson Events‘ DJs.
After my heart rate slowed down from 210 bpm, we treated ourselves to Zero Sugar Sparkling Wine by Christie Brinkley’s Bellissima Prosecc while noshing on passed hors d’oeuvres of tuna tartare cones, butternut squash bisque soup, and healthy crudités, courtesy of The Pierre.
To wrap up the evening, Sophisticated Weddings Publisher Steve Sendor announced the winner of the evening’s raffle: a giveaway for three nights in Aruba (!!) at The Hilton Aruba, courtesy of Aruba Tourism.
While there was only one trip winner, the rest of us did not leave empty-handed. Gift bags were filled with homemade pumpkin bundt cake from Perrine, the Pierre Hotel’s restaurant, discounts to bridal sponsors such as Kleinfeld Bridal, Bridal Reflections, L’Fay, Designer Loft, Alton Lane, and more – along with our copy of Sophisticated Weddings Magazine for all of our wedding inspo needs.
