Slate usually puts on a good party, but their 20th anniversary celebration was on another level. Even just entering the space, you had an aerialist serving you champagne and were then surrounded by what looked like Egyptian roller skaters. The two level event space is already tricked out with a private karaoke room, a BYOB (Be Your Own Bartender) pouring station with 20 adult beverages on tap, arcade, ping pong and pool tables, Skee-Ball, pinball, 8-player foosball table and a 20-foot slide that connects the floors.

As if that wasn’t enough, contortionists, fire eaters, stilt walkers, electro-robots and dancing drag queens rounded out the entertainment for the evening.

DJ Chuckie took the main stage later in the evening and kept the party going into the wee hours of the morning! The entire 16,000 square foot space was activated and there was something happening in every corner!

Any food you can think of was available. Some of our favorites were the seafood station with lobster tails and oysters, the carving station with lamb and ham and appetizers galore from Executive Chef Darryl Harmon, who also celebrated his birthday that evening.

For the drinks, in addition to the premium open bar, Liquid Lab NYC was on hand to help guide guests to make their very own craft cocktails with gourmet garnishes. Our fave was the Clean Slate and we’ve been craving the muddled cucumber Bombay Sapphire and Hendrick’s Gin combo since!

Celebrities flocked to the event for the occasion, including Bravo’s Real Housewives of New York star Luann de Lesseps, Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice, Lindsay Hubbard and Luke Gulbranson from Summer House and Vinny Guadagnino from MTV’s Jersey Shore among others. It was truly a memorable evening.
