Are you ready to embark on a journey? I recently had the pleasure of attending high tea service at the Elsie Rooftop, located twenty five stories up.
Presented by Lady Mendl, this Moroccan high tea experience was quite the adventure. This two hour themed brunch includes a delectable assortment of treats, allouring belly dancers, live music, and tea of course! If you are feeling like you want to live the lush life, indulge in a spiked tea option.
As the room fills up with belly dancers and show stoppers, some tea options that you can sip on include fresh Jasmine Petal, Tamayokucha Green, or Mint Verbena Tea. They also offer the full beverage menu including tantalizing cocktails to choose from.
The selection of nibbles is served in a two-tier tower with both sweet and savory options. Some of the food highlights include: Lemon and Coriander Chicken Kebabs, Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, Cumin Spiced Deluxe Nuts, Seasonal Fresh Figs, and Baklava with Pistachios and Honey.
While being dazzled by these mysterious masked performers, you may also enjoy the magnificent views and luxuriate in this art deco playground of velvet banquettes, lush garden, glimmering candles, and beautiful bar.
Elsie Rooftop plays homage to Elsie de Wolfe who is also known as Lady Mendl. Elsie was an American actress, interior decorator, and author of the influential novel The House in Good Taste, as well as a prominent figure in society in the 1920s.
Make this weekend an escape of epic proportions and get lost in the fun at Elsie. Check out their Instagram feed at @elsierooftop!
