On Saturday, November 9th, 2013 the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) Young Leadership Program lauded the accomplishments of young leaders Diego Portillo and Tanya Shnaydman at the W Hotel for the 11th annual Young Leadership Celebration.
The ADL was founded in 1913 “to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all”. Since then, the organization has formally expanded their vision to fight anti-Semitism and all forms of bigotry, defend democratic ideals, and protect civil rights for all people.
While most of the attendees at the evening cocktail party were overwhelmingly young Jewish professionals, the crowd was definitely diverse enough to support the ADL’s mission.
Over 300 guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and step and repeat photos, as well as the opportunity to bid in the silent auction and help raise additional funds purchasing raffle tickets to win donated items. The ADL’s Vice Board Chair David Grossman presented honorees Diego and Tanya with the Krupp Leadership Award. Partygoers enjoyed dancing prior to leaving with ADL themed rubber cause bracelets as well as a nice Boston-themed scenic poster to take home to remember the evening.
Happy Lobbying,
Jenicka
