We were there at the very first introduction to Belvedere Pink Grapefruit, and now we’re here to tell you about the opening party, filled with star-studded celebs and delicious summery cocktails!

Last Thursday, ladies of the night (in the classiest sense of the phrase) attended the launch of Belvedere Pink Grapefruit!  These are the girls you’d want to party with, which include Ashley Olsen, Chelsea Handler, Bar Refaeli, Kelly Osbourne, Estelle, and Kelly Choi, along with fabulous designer Matthew Williamson and over 1,000 other guests!

Everyone was there to celebrate Belvedere’s new Pink Grapefruit, and Matthew Williamson even designed a limited edition kaftan in celebration of this new colorful flavor.  Model and MisShapes member Leigh Lezark wore the kaftan last night while spinning tunes and getting people on the dance floor.

The flavor is distilled from whole pink Argentinean grapefruits and combined with fresh ginger and Spanish spring lemons. The addition of ginger lifts the citrus notes in the vodka and helps to push forth the grapefruit taste.  Even after infusing all of the flavors, the color remains in the vodka, so it is distilled yet again to really fuse the taste into the vodka.  Claire claims that the binding of the flavor is so strong and the vodka so finely crafted that a batch made back in 2002 should retain its taste of freshness like one that was just recently bottled.
