Brides Magazine held their Color School Event at The Gates last night for those who were brave enough to venture out in the now!  Or, rather, for those hardcore Bridezillas that needed to claw their way through their wedding plans.

Fortunately, I did not witness any crazy bride manics, so I had the opportunity to chat with some vendors and wedding event planners and get the scoop on all the services that they offer.

Allure Bridals, Alyce Designs, Ann’s Bridal Bargains, RK Bridal, Bahamas, Bridal Reflections, Rexcrat wedding invitations, The Wedding Library, Ruth Drennan Cakes, and Celebrate Flowers were all there to showcase their talents in assuaging the pressures of wedding planning.  I talked to wedding consultant Jillian Clark of 100 Layer Cake, who discussed the aesthetics of weddings and how she gets brides’ ideas and plans in motion.

There was a manicure booth and mini makeovers by make-up artist Jose Rasello, cake and hor d’oeuvres samples, models walking around in wedding dresses to show off, and tons of photos and stationary to sift through to plan your dream wedding.  All these places are accessible right here in New York, so contact them for an appointment today!
