“The Artist designed footwear” company BucketFeet celebrated the launch of their popup shop at Treasure & Bond in the heart of Soho, NY. BucketFeet’s mission is to find a different artist to design every shoe they produce. Talented artists get the global exposure they deserve, and you get awesome, original shoes that stand out from the crowd, for the duration of the popup shop those same artists will create live art in the store throughout this month.
Treasure & Bond is a company dedicated to helping others. As a branch from the Nordstrom Company, this retail and philanthropic store gives one-hundred percent of the after-cost profits go directly to non-profit organizations that are located within the NYC community.
BucketFeet co-founders Aaron Firestein and Raaja Nemani selected Art-Start, an organization that works to nurture the voices, hearts and minds of at-risk youth through creative arts workshops conducted daily inside homeless shelters and alternative to incarceration programs throughout New York City, as their charity to benefit from the takeover through a percentage of sales and via a giant piggy bank in store for everyone to donate to.
The launch event last week was an exciting display and collaboration of art, innovation and philanthropy. A colorful display of the amazing artistry of global artists from Toronto, Canada; Opek, Montreal, Canada; Suiko, Hiroshima, Japan; Dj Lu, Bogota, Colombia; and Ment, Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. There designs are innovative, trendy, fun, and truly embraces the idea of originality.
For the duration of this month head down to Treasure & Bond to pick up a pair of these amazingly comfortable one of a kind designed shoes, while the proceeds of your purchase helps to make a difference. As BucketFeet explains; “get original shoes that stand out.”
