After the chaos that was Fashion’s Night Out, kicking back and relaxing with a BULLDOG Ultrapremium Gin cocktail was an exciting prospect. That is, until I arrived at the Red Bull Space at 40 Thompson St and found myself getting jostled by the crowd of the over 2,500 people who RSVPed for the event. While the turnout was great, it made for a less than pleasant experience getting into the party – even for press!

Once inside, I could see why this was the after party to be at. With live performances by Smokey Robotic and musical stylings by DJ Whitney Day the crowd was dancing and the atmosphere was upbeat, undoubtedly helped by the complimentary BULLDOG Gin cocktails and abundant Red Bull mixers. Unfortunately, the door drama made me miss the fashion showcase by up-and-coming designer Alexandra Athens Lasky but some of the models stuck around for the rest of the night in her avant garde designs highlighted by the creative art installations by Samara Johnson.

Throughout the night guests were frequently overheard saying “I don’t usually like gin, but this stuff is great!” A gin aficionado sworn to my beloved Bombay Sapphire, I found myself intrigued by this newcomer to the gin scene with its smooth finish and citrus notes. Surely enough, Wine Enthusiast Magazine ranked BULLDOG Gin as a “Top 50” Spirit and gave it the highest score of any gin ever rated. Considered by many connoisseurs to be the “world’s most mixable gin” the absolutely delicious BULLDOG Gin infused cupcakes by Butterlane Cupcakes testified to just how versatile this spirit is. Bombay Sapphire had better watch its back because Bulldog Gin is nipping at their heels.

Happy Drinking,
