The highly coveted all white everything soiree, Dîner en Blanc, returns on August 22nd for its 7th takeover of NYC. Over 5000 food lovers, cultural enthusiasts and fashionistas will gather at an outdoor landmark location that is kept secret until right before the event. Four-time James Beard winner Todd English will return to prepare a special menu for guests who order online.
The affair continues to expand with additional partners this year. For those that order online, Kenwood Vineyards will be providing the wine for the evening, Canard-Duchêne Champagne will offer champagne and Evian Badoit will be the water purveyor. COVERGIRL will host a beauty bar on location for touch ups with a photo booth for all those Instagram-worthy looks.
Guests commit to this experience by bringing everything to encompass a gourmet picnic, including fine china and silverware, white table settings, white tables and chairs. Everyone wears only white with ensembles incorporating masks, angel wings, Marie Antoinette wigs and more. Groups of several hundred people will gather at 24 meeting points across the city and are guided by local volunteers, either on foot or by other organized means of transportation. Entertainment after dinner provides an opportunity for dancing under the stars to ensue.
