Bourbon Master Class at Experimental Cocktail Club

In honor of National Bourbon Heritage Month, Experimental Cocktail Club (191 Chrystie St., http://www.experimentalcocktailclubny.com) is hosting a Master Class on the spirit with head bartender Damien Aries on Wednesday, September 17 from 7:00-8:30PM.

Guests will learn to perfect classic bourbon cocktails such as a proper Bourbon Sour and an Old Fashioned, and in true Experimental Cocktail Club nature, they’ll try their hand at innovative cocktails like the Celtic Smash (a shaken cocktail that combines bourbon, islay scotch, fernet branca, maple syrup and mint).

Tickets are $65 per person with tax and gratuity included, and guests will not only learn about the history and uses of the spirit, but they’ll be invited behind the bar to learn the techniques themselves. Each Master Class teaches a minimum of three cocktails to attendees.
