Want to get into this year’s theme? While the attire is business cocktail as usual, you have an opportunity to have a some fun! Swanky 1920’s attire is encouraged, but not required! If you partake in the themed apparel, you will be entered into a separate raffle!

We are thrilled that Dr. Jerome Adams, the 20th Surgeon General of the United States, will join us at this year’s Shades of Hope Gala. He will highlight the progress over the last 5 years since the Surgeon General’s Call to Action to Prevent Skin Cancer and discuss how melanoma has impacted his family (read our interview with him here). As the Nation’s Doctor, the Surgeon General’s mission is to advance the health of the American people. Dr. Adams’ motto as Surgeon General is “better health through better partnerships.” Dr. Adams is committed to maintaining strong relationships with the public health community and forging new partnerships with non-traditional partners. He has pledged to lead with science, facilitate locally led solutions to the nation’s most difficult health problems, and deliver higher quality healthcare at lower cost through patient and community engagement and better prevention.
