You have your common sense reasons: It won’t be over 100 degrees; you’ll avoid spending half of the weekend stuck in traffic; you’ll get to fire up the grill. Now, the Pacha New York crew, in association with RPM, is giving that devil on your shoulder his own motive for staying put in New York this July 4th weekend… Her name is Ruby Rose.
Ruby Rose has whipped the globe into a frenzy. And this Saturday, July 4th, she heads to Pacha to DJ the hottest Independence Day bash in New York. With remixes for the likes of Nervo and JLo, Rose has DJ’ed the international party circuit for over four years. Tonight, it’s New York’s turn.
A multi-hyphenate creative spirit, Rose’s talents extend across many levels. She stars as new inmate ‘Stella Carlin’ on the critically acclaimed “Orange Is the New Black”. Rose also wrote, produced, and starred in the short film Break Free, a tribute to gender fluidity that became a viral hit, garnering more than 15 million views on Facebook and 3 million on YouTube.
Ruby designed for the fashion label Milk & Honey, which sold out of its two seasons. As a model, Rose has also graced such magazine titles as American ELLE, Vogue Australia, InStyle Magazine, Marie Claire Magazine, Cosmopolitan, L’officiel and NYLON. She is also one of the faces of Maybelline in Australia.
Rose is a fervent supporter of many charities, including the causes closest to her heart, such as Anti Bullying, Women and Gay Rights, Animal Welfare and Youth Mental Health.
