‘Tis the season to shine bright with a traditional tree lighting ceremony. Join the Seaport District for its Annual Holiday Tree Lighting celebration on Monday, December 2, complete with live Broadway performances and a countdown to the lighting of this year’s 50-foot tree. Kicking off on the historic cobblestones, the Seaport District festivities welcome performances by hit Broadway shows including the cast of Phantom of the Opera, along with traditional carols from a local choir, hosted by Cubby and Christine from 106.7 LITE FM. Prior to the performances will be a brief charitable presentation to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, one of the nation’s leading industry-based HIV/AIDS fundraising and grant-making organizations. Immediately following, an after-party in partnership with iHeartRadio’s 106.7 LITE FM will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Winterland Rink on The Rooftop at Pier 17. Open and free to the public, the event will include skating, seasonal food and beverage for purchase, and performance by Ingrid Michaelson.
