As I went around shopping last week to check out fall merchandise hitting the floors, I dropped by New York & Company to see what they have to offer this upcoming season.  Getting ready to the corner from summer to fall, they had their new styles on display and great end-of-summer deals, especially a great collection of fun, eccentric jewelry!

Two days after my in-store session, I received the press release from NY&C of their Fashion’s Night Out party to be held on September 10th.  NY&C’s beloved spokesperson, Carson Kressley, celebrity fashion stylist of How to Look Good Naked and Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, will play host for the evening!  Not only will guests be given one-on-one styling tips from Carson himself, but you can also preview NY&C’s Red Label Collection.

This new label is a fashion-forward collection representing the essence of modern New York style and sophistication.   When asked about his involvement with Fashion’s Night Out, Carson , “Oh, I think the idea of FNO is just terrific! And I’m so glad to be a part of this event — especially with New York & Company.  Honestly, I can’t think of a better partner to do this with in New York than New York & Company!  I mean, nobody does fashion and value like they do. Especially their Red Label Collection – this is runway fashion at street smart prices!”

You know the event will be spectacular if Carson dubbed an acronym for it: FNO. He is scheduled to arrive at the store at 6:00 pm, and the store will stay open late until 11:00 pm for the festivities.  There will be a DJ, models, catering, goodie bags, fashion, and an exclusive shopping discount for this special occasion.

Celia Rao Visconti, the EVP of Marketing, said of the event, “Fashion’s Night Out is a great opportunity for us to partner with Vogue in creating brand awareness for New York style and, more specifically, for our amazing Red Label Collection.  It’s also a wonderful initiative for the city and fashion retail in general.”

We only wish more stores and retailers would think of great events like this to launch the start of fall and, more importantly, remember to invite us to these festivities.  Join us for NY&C’s celebrations on September 10th at their Lexington store at 58th Street.  See you there!
