Earlier in July over 200 dashing and dapper Bostonians came together in their garden party best at the Four Seasons Hotel to raise funds for the Friends of the Public Garden to further their efforts to preserve and improve upon Boston’s first public parks: the Boston Common, Public Garden, and Commonwealth Avenue Mall.
Attendees enjoyed an open bar and hors d’oeuvres at the event sponsored by Cambridge Trust, plus lively photo opportunities and a raffle with some great local prizes, including a highly coveted an overnight stay at the TAJ Boston Hotel and brunch at The Bristol, to name a couple of the great prizes.
Executive Director Liz Vizza and Board Chair Leslie Adam welcomed guests and discussed the important work undertaken by the Friends over the past year, along with future initiatives and projects. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the opportunity to don their seersucker chicest attire.
This event is truly a great after-work fete for the summer social season and not one to be missed – especially with the proceeds going towards such important efforts to renew, care, and advocate for the some of the best parks in the city.
Happy Partying,
Jenicka
About Friends of the Public Garden:
Our mission is to renew, care, and advocate for the Boston Common, Public Garden, and Commonwealth Avenue Mall. These destinations are nationally important havens of natural beauty within an urban environment, enhanced with sculpture, where people delight in their surroundings and gather with others.
In our vision these great outdoor spaces are buoyed by large and diverse groups of tending stewards working in partnership with the City and will forever be parks of the highest level of excellence.
