Everyone know that Heidi Klum always goes above and beyond for Halloween.  This year, her 10th annual Halloween party at the new Lavo New York was no different.

Dressed as an 8-foot tall robotic superhero, Heidi Klum towered over everyone on her platform boots as she made a grand entrance.  The jumbo red and purple suit tricked out with bells and whistles was designed by Martin Izqueirdo, a Victoria’s Secret fashion show favorite.  Donning a fire-red wig and purple glitter caked on her face, she was nearly unrecognizeable.  Klum reportedly had all the entrances and doorways at Lavo measured to accommodate her gigantic costume.  Now that’s thinking ahead!

As she came down the stairs to the lower lounge, she had to be escorted by two to three body guards at once in order to ensure that she wouldn’t teeter over or get mobbed.  Husband Seal was her counterpart as a silver superhero, showing much resemblance to a chunky Tin Man.

Other notables included:  Kim Kardashian as a busty Little Red Riding Hood;  John Legend and girlfriend Chrissy Teigen as Antony and Cleopatra; Jonathan Cheban as the Big Bad Wolf;  Simon Huck as ‘bloody eye surgery guy’ (not a costume); Project Runway winner Gretchen Jones came as Amelia Earhart, alongside Irina Shabayeva;  Project Runway winner Christian Siriano and his boyfriend dressed as the dancing feather duster and candlestick from Beauty and the Beast;  designer Rebecca Minkoff as Frida Kahlo; Sports Illustrated model Brooklyn Decker was in a troll costume; Ashanti was a fiesty cat; and Ice-T was a crazy mad scientist with his wife Coco as his nurse.

Heidi Klum was an amazing sport about taking photographs with fans, smiling through her glittered face.  One gent in the crowd started a rumor that she had $10,000 worth of purple glitter on her, which sounds rather extravagant – but clearly Heidi spares no expense when it comes to her costumes.

Celebrity DJ Questlove of The Roots kept the fabulous crowd going.  The night was presented in part by AOL, who set up a photobooth for people to take pictures in their awesome costumes.  Take a look at some of the photos pasted to the Facebook album here.  And a special shoutout to the folks at La Société Stella Artois for the hook-up – want to score your own invite to LSSA?

Yours,
Von
