On Thursday, July 21st, 2011, Jersey born and world renowned street artist KAWS and the worlds number one selling cognac, Hennessy came to together at NYC’s New Museum to celebrate the launch of the newly designed Hennessy bottle in which KAWS designed himself.



Each limited edition KAWS Hennessy V.S bottle is adorned with signature KAWS artwork and is individually numbered. The bottle marks the brand’s first customized collaborative project in 2011.


“Hennessy is a brand that not only prides itself on presenting the world with a quality variant, but also on creating out-of-the-box partnerships that heighten our consumer’s experience,” said Rodney Williams, SVP of Business for Hennessy. “We look forward to the feedback from not only from Hennessy loyalists but also KAWS eclectic fan base about this exciting partnership.”

The evening kicked-off with an intimate performance by Michael Holman and Jean-Michel‘s Basquiat’s industrial art noise band, Gray.  Also there to help kickoff the launch was DJ Questlove from The Roots, who was the DJ for the night and helped keep guests grooving as they sipped on their Hennessy cocktails.



The Hennessy KAWS V.S bottle will be sold nationwide in 750ml sizes and will retail for $29.99. The bottle will hit shelves in September 2011 so be sure to grab this collectors item when it debuts in a store near you!
