The Housing Works teamed up with famed designers Zac Posen and John Varvatos to co-chair their 11th annual Fashion For Action benefit at The Rubin Museum of Art.

Event goers got first dibs on designer threads at the intimate shopping party, all to benefit Housing Works’ Youth Outreach programming, which provides dedicated HIV-prevention and treatment services for young people living with HIV/AIDS or at risk of infection.

Starr Catering provided tasty nibbles and Double Cross Vodka loosened up the crowd before the VIP shopping began, just across the street at the newly renovated flagship Chelsea Thrift Shop.  This is always one of our favorite events each year, because designers like Philip Lim 3.1, Ted Baker, Tadashi Shoji, Tods, and Derek Lam donate new items, which are then priced well below retail.

Host Bevy Smith helmed the fashion auction featuring clothing from Posen and Varvatos, who are longtime supporters of the organization.  Once the auction ended, music by MICK got the party going.

Even if you missed the big event, you can still catch the online auction through December 4th and bid on shopping experiences, exclusive behind-the-scenes tours, and vacation getaways.  Remember, there are over two dozen luxury gift packages in all.
