Born and raised in Florence, Italy, Ippolita has become one of the worlds top luxury designers of jewelry.  Highly sculptural and crafted by hand, the Ippolita jewelry collection is comprised of silver, rosé, and signature gold pieces.

Last Thursday, August 18th, 2011, Ippolita previewed her Fall 2011 Collection for a select few guests and press. While guests sipped on specialty cocktails and ate cupcakes by Baked by Melissa, each guest was able to view the collection up close and even try on a few pieces; each piece designed by hand which makes this collection especially unique. The unique sculptural quality of Ippolita jewelry comes from the fact that she insists that every piece be made by hand. Ippolita’s signature bracelets, for example, are hand cast from original wax sculptures, and the open-link chains she uses in her Ippolita earrings and necklaces are formed and soldered by hand.

Ippolita is known for slender gold bangles—unadorned or with semiprecious stones—that stars including Halle Berry, Reese Witherspoon and Kate Hudson love to stack on their wrists. “I like the bangle because it’s not an occasional jewel,” says Ippolita Rostagno, who hails from Florence, Italy. “You can put a bangle on and never take it off.” After using only gold for nine years, Ippolita has now added resin and silver to her collection.

Her work and pieces have also been featured in high profile magazines around the world such as Vogue and In Style Magazine.  Be warned that her collection is not for the everyday woman, her pieces range from $495 to her earrings to almost $4,000 for her bangles and some necklaces!

If you think this is within your budget range you can buy her collection at stores such as Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and Saks.
