Socially Superlative was fortunate enough to attend the Food Fete` Summer Press Event, that took place at Stage 37 Event Space, just steps away from the Summer Fancy Food Show at the Jacob Javitz Center.

Like many Food Fete’s before, the Real California Milk company stole the show with their holiday display and food and drink options. Their attention to detail never disappoints, this time with a leg lamp, similar to the one from A Christmas Story, to go with the holiday theme.

We enjoyed Activate’s cutesy “Stop Vitamin Cruelty” campaign and their fun bottles that drop vitamins in when you’re ready to drink from them.

Along the lines of healthy foods, we spoke with the Sneaky Chef and tasted a non-nut butter made of golden peas that tasted just like peanut butter!

We enjoyed learning from Sahale Snacks and were interested to learn that if we’re buying nuts at Starbucks, they’re probably coming from Sahale!

We can’t wait for Half Pops, those half-popped popcorn morsels, to come to NY, especially with the caramel corn flavor we got to try that isn’t even on the market yet!

We loved Nonni’s Kitchen setup and the pastas and sauces we got to try on site.

Bel Gioso has come out with snacking cheese sizes to cater to those that would like to eat cheese without eating a lot of it.

As if Pepperidge Farm Goldfish are not addicting enough, they’ve now come out with Puffs, which are just as addictive but packed with more flavor!

One of our favorite stations was the Wonderful Brands station with Hungry Girl chef and host Lisa Lillien. Lisa had cooked up a healthy but flavorful salad and a mocktail that was very tasty.

We ended on a sweet note with Graeter’s new ice cream flavors and Kohler’s delicious chocolates (which we didn’t know existed until this show!).

As usual, we left overstuffed with yummy goodies with overstuffed bags of goodies to take with us on the road. We always have a great time and this was no exception. Looking forward to what Food Fete showcases next!
