Karen Walker presented her Fall/Winter 2010 Collection at the Altman Building, bring her New Zealand background where it’s currently nice and warm to the chilly air here in New York.

The first few prints seemed a little bit homely to me, but then the rest of the collection graduated to more modern styles.  Her Spring 2010 collection was very nautical themed, so this season seemed to be an extension of the yacht-loving feel with the incorporation of fall colors and textures.

I loved the inclusion of the knee-high stockings with the shorter dresses: Walker clearly knows that women still love to wear cute dresses even during the winter, but just thrown on leggings and tights for slightly more protection from the cold.  Paired with her super fluffy fur wraps, we’ll sure to keep warm during the chilly winter.
