Right before Thanksgiving we were given a sneak peek of the holiday pop up at The Skinny, Naughty or Nice. What has been Jingle Hells and Helliday Inn in years past, Naughty or Nice still retains the cheeky humor and gaudy decorations of its predecessors.
Games like Wheel of Misfortune and a Holiday Claw Machine where every prize is alarming help to tie the space together. A drunk Santa greeted attendees as they walked in and Queen of Burlesque, Velvetina Taylor, gave a show that oozed old Hollywood glamour.
Guests were treated to seasonal cocktails like the Milk n’ Cookies shots, a mixture of Fireball and Rumchata served with a cookie on the side. Monkey Business is served with a mini bottle of Svedka Blue Raspberry protruding out of the top and also includes Monkey 47 Gin, Raspberry Grapefruit Tea and Tonic.
Our favorites, Grinding up Against the Gingerbread Man, is the one frozen drink on the menu, a mixture of vanilla vodka, apple schnapps, cream liqueur and ginger syrup and the Hot N’ Juicy is served hot with cider and the drinker’s choice of spiking the bevi with Absolut Juice or Jameson Irish Whisky.
We snacked on festive food like Reindeer Balls (deep fried sausage stuffing and gravy), a Turducken Burger, and Elf Weenies n’ Blankets.
Naughty or Nice will be open through December 31st with holiday-themed events throughout the month including dressing up in your ugliest Xmas sweater for their “Naughty Santa and Mrs. Claus Party” to earn prizes.
