So what, Kodak? In recent historly Kodak been surpassed by other notable camera makers (think Sony, Canon, Nikon, Panasonic). But Kodak is very much still an everyday brand name, and how they have resurfaced to take social media by storm!
They’ve added a new social media feature to some of their models: when you connect your camera to your computer and are ready to download them, they will automatically post to your Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, and other social media sites where you can brag about all the awesome things you do and all the awesome things you see with all your awesome friends. Soooo awesome!
To launch this very special feature, So Kodak threw an awesome party at the Best Buy Theater in Times Square that featured performances from their new spokespeople, Trey Songz and Drake! (Pitbull was also supposed to be there, but alas, he reportedly broke his arm and was in recovery.)
Going with the social media theme, both artists ran giveaways through Twitter and their fan pages with tickets to this exclusive, invite-only concert.
This girl standing directly behind me was clearly a “Trey’s Angel” because she was screaming through his entire set and crying during one of his slow ballads. Admittedly, Trey Songz is quite the smooth charmer!
Drake performed his hits “Fancy” and “Show Me a Good Time” among a few others that left the crowd ready to keep partying. At the end of the performances, we were left with a commercial featuring Rihanna, the new spokeswoman for the So Kodak campaign, and we can’t wait to see what she has in store for us.
Yours,
Von
