Stuffed Puffs invited VIPs and media for a field trip to their yet-to-open 150,000 square foot plant in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania for a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Attendees were also introduced to the newest chocolate-filled marshmallow to make s’mores assembly that much easier and sweeter including a lunch incorporating Stuffed Puffs into hot chocolate, sweets, and a make-your-own s’mores bar.

During the ceremony, Stuffed Puffs Founder and CEO Mike Tierney, told the story of how the company was an idea that started 11 years ago and that it required a lot of trial and error. The product inevitably came to fruition at scale because of interest from Walmart and Richard Thompson, Managing Partner of Factory LLC, helping with the how to make it.

The day’s agenda also included DJ Marshmello’s manager Moe Shalizi, Jim Petrucci, Founder and President of J.G Petrucci Co., Inc., Don Cunningham, CEO of Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corp, and Dennis M. Davin, Pennsylvania Secretary of Community and Economic Development.

The company hosted a meet and greet with DJ Marshmello after the ceremony to commemorate the occasion. He also collaborated with Stuffed Puffs on recipe videos, which can be found online.

The plant is set to open by the fourth of July to meet the demands of the summer dessert staple and will create 130 new jobs in the Lehigh Valley. Until then, Stuffed Puffs’ existing plant in Wisconsin will continue to produce the product to meet the current demand. Stuffed Puffs will be available at retailers across the U.S. in the next year.
