We had a fantastic time at Village Voice’s first Brooklyn Pour event last year. Not to spoil anything, but with over 100 craft brews as far as the eye can see, we’re super excited that it’s back, and we can’t wait to check it out again.
This year, there will be two wonderful sessions on Saturday, October 6th, so you can get your boozin’ started early with some day drinking, or start the evening off on the right foot.
Yours,
Von
The Village Voice’s Brooklyn Pour Craft Beer Festival
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 6th
Featuring 100+ Craft Brews from Brooklyn & Beyond!
Two Sessions Available This Year
New York, NY – August 7, 2012 – After a sold out event last year, The Village Voice announces today it will hold its second annual curated Brooklyn Pour craft beer tasting event on Saturday, October 6th with tickets on sale August 22nd. Featuring over 100+ craft brews from New York and beyond, the event will again take place in Fort Greene, Brooklyn at Skylight One Hanson (formerly the old Williamsburg Savings Bank).
Over 3,000 craft beer aficionados will sample the best seasonal, micro and reserve brews from breweries located in the country with a pinpointed focus on the tri-state area. The best craft brews will be represented, along with demonstrations, meet & greets, beer talks, food court and more.
New to 2012, event directors have decided to split the event into two sessions – the first from 1pm-4pm and the second from 6pm-9pm. Both sessions will have GA and VIP tickets sold.
“We are thrilled to announce the return of Brooklyn Pour this year,” said Village Voice Publisher Josh Fromson. “After an overwhelming response to the event last year and tickets being sold out in advance we decided to bring more beer to Brooklyn with the addition of two separate tasting sessions so all New York City beer enthusiasts can enjoy.”
The Village Voice’s Brooklyn Pour craft beer festival has kept in the true form as its sister tasting event, Choice Eats, by curating local beers unique to New York City, mixed with a portfolio of beers from around the globe all under one roof for one day.
Brooklyn Pour will offer all guests a complimentary tasting of all beers, a souvenir glass, entertainment, live onsite beer demonstrations from the area’s top brew masters and an exclusive Brooklyn Pour photo booth. VIP guests will be offered a gift bag, complimentary food, a private lounge area with private VIP bar and more.
Local fare from New York City restaurants will also be available for additional purchase. Proceeds from the event are going to Brooklyn Pour’s charitable partner Brooklyn Animal Resource Coalition (BARC), a nonprofit organization looking to provide a safe haven for abandoned animals and to find permanent loving homes for them.
