After months of being open exclusively for private events and parties, owner Albert Trummer has opened his newest venue, Theater Bar to the public. Socially Superlative was invited to come check out Mr. Trummer’s newest venue for a private cocktail tasting.

Located in trendy Tribeca, Albert Trummer has made his newest venture feel like an old school theater from the 1930’s. With velvet red curtains upon the bars entrance, plush plum colored velvet benches, and music from the 1930’s filling the room as the guests mingled, definitely gave the atmosphere an old Hollywood glam feel.

Theater Bar offers patrons a delicious array of various cocktails. The cocktail menu is cleverly separated into four acts, I decided to try the cocktails listed in Act IV. First up was ‘Billie Holiday’ which consists of Cognac with Elixir No. 3 Hibiscus Essence, fresh pressed Lemon, topped with Champagne. But for anyone who stops by this bar must try the Harlem Apple Jig (my personal favorite of the night!) Red apple, vodka, fresh lemon, agave and mint with a spiced shortbread rim. Delicious!

Theater Bar is open 6 days a week (closed Sundays) and open from 5p.m. to 2 a.m. Good for anyone who works in the area to stop by and try a few cocktails concocted by one of the many talented mixologers behind the bar.
