On Wednesday March 26th, Wall Street Rocks co-founders James Macedonio, Leslie Kirby and George Chrisafis presented Operation Finally Home Executive Director Daniel Vargas and J.R. Martinez with a check for $50,000 at The Sanctuary Hotel in New York City. The money raised to to support the work of Operation Finally Home, came from Wall Street Rocks Battle of the Bands events that took place throughout 2013 and culminated with a benefit performance at Irving Plaza in December.
Wall Street Rocks is a unique collaboration of employees across the financial, technology and entertainment industry focused on supporting heroic Americans who serve our nation. From brave soldiers deployed around the world who protect our freedoms, to first responders who selflessly venture into dangerous emergency situations here at home, these courageous men and women have our backs every day. Operation Finally Home was founded in 2005 as a non partisan/non-profit organization with the mission to provide Americans the ability to honor and thank America’s wounded and disabled veterans and the widows of the fallen who have sacrificed to defend our country in the global War on Terror. Severely wounded and disabled service members return home to confront extreme hardships, from physical and emotional disabilities to financial ruin, joblessness and homelessness. Dismayed by their plight, Operation Finally Home addresses the most pressing need of our returning heroes – a home to call their own.
